Duration
3 days
Scope
Surface preparation & repaint

Poolcorp recently completed a full surface preparation and repaint of the main pool at Bathurst Aquatic Centre. Our team sanded back the entire pool surface and applied a fresh high-quality coating, completing the entire project in just three days.

This project is a great example of Poolcorp’s ability to deliver efficient turnaround times without compromising on workmanship or finish quality. Working on large-scale aquatic facilities requires careful planning, experienced trades, and a strong team to ensure the pool is returned to operation as quickly as possible.

Although Poolcorp is based in Sydney, we regularly undertake projects in regional areas and interstate, providing the same high standard of remedial pool construction and resurfacing services wherever the job takes us.

The Bathurst Aquatic Centre project highlights our commitment to reliability, speed, and professional results for councils, aquatic centres, and commercial pool facilities.

Castle Hill, NSW
Duration

Balance tank & pool trough waterproofing

Poolcorp recently completed specialised waterproofing works to the balance tank servicing the recovery pools, along with the waterproofing of all associated pool troughs at Castle Hill Fitness and Aquatic Centre.

Our team began by thoroughly cleaning and preparing all surfaces, ensuring previous waterproofing materials were fully removed and the substrate was properly prepared for long-term adhesion. We then applied a multi-layer waterproofing system across the balance tank and trough areas to deliver a durable, high-quality finish designed for ongoing performance in a demanding aquatic environment.

Works were completed efficiently within one week, with our team working inside the balance tank and surrounding service areas to ensure all repairs met Poolcorp’s quality standards. The project reflects our capability to carry out detailed remedial waterproofing works safely, quickly, and to a high professional standard across operational aquatic facilities.

Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre
Case study 04 · Mechanical Upgrade

Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre

Facility
Sydney Olympic Park, NSW
Duration
2 nights (overnight)
Scope
Plant room butterfly valve replacement

Poolcorp recently completed specialised mechanical upgrade works within the main Olympic pool plant room at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, involving the full replacement of ageing butterfly valves that had been in service for over 20 years.

Due to signs of corrosion and wear on the existing valves, a complete changeover was required to restore reliability and maintain the performance of the pool’s circulation system. The project involved the installation of scaffolding supplied by our team, along with careful planning and execution to safely remove the original components without impacting surrounding infrastructure.

To minimise disruption to the facility’s operations, the works were carried out overnight across two nights, allowing the Olympic pool to remain fully operational during the day. This flexible scheduling ensured the upgrade could be completed efficiently while supporting the centre’s ongoing public use.

Our technicians completed a full valve replacement, including new sealing rings, installing brand-new butterfly valves and commissioning the system with zero leaks. The result is a fully sealed and reliable valve setup supporting the continued performance of one of Australia’s premier aquatic facilities.
